We have a rare find of Homer Laughlin Pink Magnolia (some consider this also Dogwood) pieces in the Liberty pattern. The design features stems of pink buds and a blossomed white flowers on branches sprinkled with green leaves. With the spray of flowers in a tricolor pattern. Each piece is trimmed in 22K gold and the edges of all but the teacup are gently scalloped. This floral pattern is quite different from the other Homer Laughlin Magnolia dinnerware designs and harder to find. We also think it is the most charming of the Magnolia designs. With the stark pink against the ecru background, these dishes work well for all seasons and pair perfectly with pink or green depression glass. Although a natural shabby chic design, set with crystal stemware or cut glass serving pieces, it can also be elegant and formal.
The backstamps indicate that these dishes were made between 1950 and 1956 and were made in the Newell plant in Pennsylvania.
