Description
This is a Creamer and Sugar set from Morimura Brothers (the M in the middle of the mark) Hand Painted and made by Noritake, in Japan. This is very early Noritake as noted by the stamp, the M surrounded by the wreath. It is definetely pre-WWII. It’s a piece of history and beautiful art to set on your table.
CONDITION: Considering how hold this set is, it is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, nicks or crazing. There are a few spots on the tree on the sugar bowl where some of the paint is missing. There are a few small spots on the creamer where paint is missing. There are two raised spots on the interior of the creamer, the size of pin pricks. This is not damage, but discoloration of raised spots in the porcelain, most likely incurring the in manufacturing process. I have tried to capture all these spots in the photos.
I have also provided photos of the fine detail work on the handles and the sugar bowl lid.
The creamer holds a scant 1/2 cup of liquid
The sugar bowl holds holds 1 cup of sugar
Each are 2 1/4 inches tall. This set is at least 67 years old, so please examine all the photos carefully and contact me if you have any questions.
We have done our best to estimate shipping costs and will reimburse any over charge.
